"Christ has no body on earth but yours; no hands but yours; no feet but yours. You are the
eyes through which He is to go about doing good;
yours are the hands with which He is to bless people now." - St. Theresa of Avila
put GOD first
We are God's children. We belong to Our Father and all that we have comes from Him and belongs
to Him.
Putting God first is an act of faith. It means trusting Him to give us what we need and
thanking Him for all that He has already given.
What God has given us is now what God wants us to keep. What God has given us is what God wants
us to share.
If we use God's gifts without returning a first portion of them to Him, we are like the
neighbor who never returns what he borrows.
We are now, and always will be, accountable to God first for how we use our gifts.

make a difference
God made us and blessed us with our unique gifts for a reason. He has work on earth that He
wants each of us to do.
God has a plan in mind for the gifts He has given us. If we hold our gifts in a clenched fist
we will never be open to fulfilling God's plan.
We will never find time for God or for sharing our talents with others. We must consciously
make time to do what God calls us to do.
We can make a difference in our relationship with God and in our service to God's works if we make
God a priority in our lives.
All the many ministries of our parish are accomplished because parishioners have cared enough
to share time, talent, and treasure.

feel the JOY
It is easy to give back to God when we trust that He has given us all that we need. What we
do not have, we probably do not need.
We will find more joy by thanking God for what we already have than by worrying about what we do
not have.
Contentment and peace will fill our hearts when we realize we already have enough possessions.
We can stop striving for more things and concentrate instead on make a difference in our world.
Giving off the top - giving generously to God first- doesn't hurt. It feels wonderful.
Great joy can be found in sharing our gifts, investing in the work of the Lord and uniting our
purpose in life with God's sacred mission.
