St Philip Commissions LifeTouch
to Produce New Photo Directory
New Dates Added For Photo-Directory Picture
June 24 - 27 have been added to have your pictures made for the St. Philip Photo directory. All sign-ups for photo appointments will be made online ONLY. Booking online is a plus for you because you can better manage your schedule and if you need to make a change, you can do that online as well. When you sign up online, you set your own user-name and password.
There will be no dates in July. However, we will have three days set aside in early August. Lifetouch will make them available once June dates are full. If you don't have access to a computer and would prefer to have the times booked for you, please contact Larry Emsweller at 615-794-8588 ext 30.
All pictures will be taken in the St. Philip Community Center. Please enter through the second avenue main entrance at the corner of 2nd and Main.
2009 - 2010 Ministry Booklet/Roster
In addition to the new St. Philip photo directory, St. Philip is publishing its 2009 - 2010 Ministry Booklet. This year, however, we have decided to combine the Ministry Booklet with a Roster of names, addresses and phone numbers of the members in the Parish. Anticipated time of arrival is the first week of August.
There is no cost to St. Philip to publish this Ministry booklet/Roster, and the book will be direct mailed to your home. The booklet is advertiser supported.
GuideBook is the publisher and if you have a business and would like to advertise in this publication, please contact BJ (the sales person for Guidebook) at 615-419-7227. This book will serve as a supplement to the Photo-directory on an annual basis, since we typically have a new photo-directory every four or five years. Delivery date on the Photo-Directory is November.
If you have moved, had a change in the number of people in the household, changed email addresses, home addresses etc. Please notify the church office by clicking here and updating your information, or if you would prefer not to have your name or telephone number in the publication. The deadline is June 5, 2009. Otherwise, enjoy the booklet when it comes out, because there is nothing else for you to do.
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
We need YOU to make our directory complete!
To celebrate and strengthen the bond within the St Philip parish community, we have made the commitment to produce a new pictorial directory.
A pictorial directory is our parish family album. A new directory:
- Preserves this special time in the life and ministry of our parish
- Becomes a lasting record of our current parishioners
- Introduces our parish to friends, the community and new parishioners
- Enhances connection by helping us visually put faces and names together
- Becomes an important communication tool
We have selected Lifetouch Church Directories and Portraits to work with us on this important project. Lifetouch is providing the directory at no cost to our parish. Plus, every family photographed and only those families photographed receives a complimentary directory and an 8x10 portrait! You can sign up at the parish at weekend Masses or sign up right now online here. I am encouraging 100% participation! No Whining. No Complaining. No Excuses!
In addition, for every family photographed Lifetouch will donate the value of 4 meals (approx. $2.00) to St. Philip. These funds will be given to Loaves and Fishes and Meals on Wheels to aid in their ministry efforts.
For your convenience, all photography and portrait viewing will take place at our parish. You will have a variety of poses taken, and Lifetouch never charges a sitting fee! One pose will be selected for the directory. In addition to your complimentary 8xl0, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional portraits at very attractive prices on the day of your portrait session. But of course there is never an obligation to buy. That is up to you.
You also have the opportunity to invite your extended family and have portraits made with everyone together. Just schedule together and add additional time spots for each of your extended family units. Each family unit will be photographed and receive their own complimentary 8x10 portrait. Lifetouch will then photograph generational poses with everyone together, grandparents and grandkids, or any special poses you would like to have. The additional families count towards our program but will not necessarily be included in our directory.
Be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to be professionally photographed. Lifetouch offers so many ways to capture the memories. Your portraits are sure to become valued family keepsakes... treasured now and for generations to come.
We are looking forward to seeing you in our directory!
Father John Sappenfield
P.S. This is a professional portrait session. What you wear has a major influence on how satisfied you will be with your portraits. Be sure to pick up your Portrait Sitting Guide at sign-ups with tips on how to prepare for your session. We also ask that you allow one hour during which time you will check-in, be photographed and select your portraits. You will also receive a copy of the price sheet at sign-ups to give you plenty of time to become acquainted with the Lifetouch Point Pricing Program and not feel under pressure when you come.
